Alan is an experienced Osteopath, Naturopath, Certified Yoga Teacher, Certified Practitioner of Pilates for Rehabilitation, and Certified CHEK Exercise Coach. Alan has been in clinical osteopathic practice for over 33 years, and has lectured Osteopathic Medicine at six different Osteopathic institutions.
Alan also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Movement Studies, Master of Arts Degree in Physical Education, and a PGCE in Physical Education. He has lectured Human Movement Studies and Physical Education, and has taught yoga classes, pilates classes, and provided rehabilitation and movement sessions for patients with many musculoskeletal conditions. A life-long passion for the joy of movement, exercise and wellbeing is behind everything he teaches.

If you have not done Pilates before, the beginner’s routines will teach you the vital basic ingredients to moving, and breathing, well. These basics will prepare your body for the more challenging routines in the advanced section, so that you will always get the most out of the exercises, safely and effectively.
Yes. And if you feel at any time that you would like to re-learn, or work on something more basic, you can always follow the beginner’s routines as they will iron out any bad movement habits, so you can make even greater gains when you return to the advanced routines.
Yes, all the routines have clear instructions on how to achieve the best results from each exercise, so yo can progress at your own pace and challenge yourself to raise your ability to move well. You can perform each routine either with detailed instructions, or without (just as in a class).
